Kit Oates es un fotógrafo londinense, desde el 2011 trabaja y vive en South Kilburn Studios. Ha trabajado para The Guardian, The Observer New Review, FT Weekend, Google, Barclays, HSBC, Virgin Media, Timeout, Comic Relief, ASOS, Capital FM. El trabajo que les presentamos es una serie de retratos realizados durante al crisis de refugiados en Grecia.

He has a wife in Turkey, he went ahead in the hopes of finding somewhere in Europe they could relocate to, he hopes to be reunited with his wife.

Walaa was studying for a degree in civil engineering, She also learnt English but the due to the stress of the war she forgot how to speak it. She hopes to reach Germany and continue studying

Nahed has a BA degree and was studying civil engineering when the war started, she is travelling with her sister, they are both single, they dream one day to start a family and find work.

He wants to keep studying English and be reunited with his brother in Germany. He was a year into studying English when the revolution happened. He’s been in Idomeni for 33 days, when in Syria he was scared of the Syrian and Russian bombs. He says his dreams are broken because of the regime.

Travelling for 25 days with her sister Nahed, they have no family, they we’re killed by bombs in Aleppo. Noora was a dentistry Nurse in Aleppo. She dreams of a safer future for her and her sister Nahed.

Paid $1600 to escape to Greece. A college student reading mathematics until war disrupted his education. “We are going to Germany because it is a country of peace. My mother is still in Syria. My father and brother died in an air attack a year ago”

he wants to finish school, he does not want to be stuck in a camp, he wants to finish work and train to become a dentist

Has been travelling for four months with his three sons, they left in December, he is an Electrical engineer, He wants to arrive in a safe country to give a good future for his kids.

An electronics engineer, he was imprisoned and tortured by the Assad regime. He is currently living in a tent with his two friends. He loves hip hop. He dreams of peace and life

his home was hit by a bomb, he has fourteen scars on his skull from the explosion. He had travelled for a month and a half before reaching Idomeni, His dream is to become a doctor and help people. THe revolution has broken his dreams, He has suffered psychological trauma due to explosion.
